In Physics, we use the expert method to break down difficult problems into parts that make it easier to understand. The method helps us see what the given information is and in what ways can we figure out the unknown information. There are 7 steps to the expert method and they are as follows:

STEP 1
Question: realize and understand what the problem is asking

STEP 2
Type: this gives you an idea of how you will be solving the problem by which method you will use

STEP 3
Model: this also gives you an idea of how you will be solving the problem

STEP 4
Pictorial Representation:
-sketch a picture of what is happening in the problem
-label the known and unknown quantities
-also make a list off to the side of the known and unknown quantities
